CTI Capital Securities’ new hybrid advice platform targets the mass affluent

Montreal-based Peak Financial Group’s insurance arm will enjoy sizeable growth thanks to a new partnership announced on Wednesday with Verdun, Que.-based L.E.S Financial Services that will see more than 6,000 clients of L.E.S now fall under the Peak umbrella.

L.E.S, which provides insurance services to health-care professionals in Canada, will have access to managing general agencies affiliated with Peak Insurance Services and the firm’s back office as a part of the deal.

“We will expand the reach of our insurance services. This transaction also allows Peak and L.E.S Financial Services to form a competitive partnership,” says Robert Frances, CEO and chairman of Peak Financial Group, in a statement. “L.E.S Financial Services’ clients will be able to access unbiased financial advice through Peak advisors.”

Lorne Schecter, owner of L.E.S, will remain at the helm of the company as it embarks on this alliance with Peak.

“This partnership guarantees long-term continuity both for our firm and for our clients,” says Schecter in a statement. “Peak offers us the opportunity to continue doing what is most important to us — serving our clients — while broadening their opportunities with a powerful service offering.”
