USC Education Savings Plans Inc., the administrator of Protégé Group Education Savings Plan and Protégé Individual Education Savings Plan, today announced a proposal to transfer Protégé Group Plan and Protégé Individual Plan into two existing USC Education Savings Plans.
USC is proposing to transfer the two Protégé plans into larger plans with similar mandates. The proposed transfers will result in the majority of subscribers to the Protégé Group Plan becoming subscribers to the USC Family Group Education Savings Plan, and subscribers to the Protégé Individual Plan, as well as certain subscribers to the Protégé Group Plan, becoming subscribers to USC Family Single Student Education Savings Plan.
The transfers are subject to the approval of the board of directors of The International Scholarship Foundation, and the transfer involving Protégé Group Plan is also subject to subscriber approval.
If approved, the transfers will be completed on or before April 30, 2005.
USC, with over 1,000 licensed sales representatives, had approximately over $1.6 billion under administration for over 435,000 agreements as at its last fiscal year end.
